When Alexander was leaving for his world conquest, he went to see Diogenes, a great sage, who was lying on a sandy bank of the river and enjoying the morning sunshine.

He asked Alexander : Where are you going and for what ?

Alexander : I am going on a world conquest, I will conquer Asia Minor first.

Diogenes : And what will you do after conquering Asia Minor ?

Alexander : I will then go to conquer India

Diogenes : And what then ?

Alexander: I will have to conquer the whole world.

Diogenes : And what then ?

Alexander: Then I will rest and relax.

Hearing this Diogenes laughs out loudly, and addressing his dog who is sitting neare by says: "Listen to what this mad king is saying. The man says that he will rest after he conquers the world. Here we are resting right now, without conquering a single place. Alexander dear, if rest is your ultimate objective, why not join me and my dog right now on this beautiful river bank ? There is enough space here for all of us. I am already resting.Why are you bent on creating so much mayhem and blood shed around the world, just to rest at the end of it all ? You can rest right here and now"

Dear friends does it ring a bell. Who are we fooling but our own self. Just reflect on what you want to achieve in life. Reflect on the all pervading Spirit, which sleeps in the stone, dreams in the animal and wakes up finally in Man. Try to understand it, reflect upon and sure enough you will find joy, sustenance and ever lasting peace.

While on the subject of Spirituality, let me recall the childhood game of spoon and lime race, very popular in school Sports Meet. The one who touched the tape first with lime firmly placed in the spoon won. In real life though we find that people are running blindly at times, focused on reaching first with the spoon firmly in their mouth,( all worldly materialistic possessions ) but when they touch the tape, they find that in their blind dash, some where down the road, they have dropped the lime.

Friends those who touch the tape, even if they come second or third or tenth for that matter, but with their lime firmly in their spoon, are the winners of this life's race.

On the Day of Judgement everyone will be gathered together in HIS RADIANT PRESENCE, the rankings will melt, those with lime in their spoon will be considered, and those who ran blindly only with spoon firmly in their mouth and without the lime will for ever regret.

The lime constitutes VALAYAT of AQA MOULA (TUS) it comprises of all noble deeds as enshrined in our Deen. Reaching out to your relatives and community members in need. I need not elaborate.

In your mad rush to touch the finishing line of life, and to come out winner, please be focused on 'the lime' that may have fallen down. Reflect inward this Sehrullah, prioratize, and pick up the lime if need be, and journey to the tape. You will be the ultimate winner.

When one surrenders on its own to the Supreme Power -to the Will of Allah in the larger context, to our Moula (TUS)in the micro context, his Spirituality, will achieve the ultimate flowering, because in this willing surrender is the ultimate salvation.

If someone forcibly turns you into a means and uses you, you are bound to loose your soul. However, your soul will be fulfilled, if you surrender on your own, and become an instrument in the hands of existence.

The Greek sage Diognes, was once captured by a group of petty traders to enslave him. The traders are baffled when Diognes himself voluteers to be handcuffed. As they take him to the slave market to be sold, he proudly walks ahead of all of them. There is not a trace of fear on his face, while his captors look like captives.

Diogenes mounts on the platform and proclaims : ' What are you looking for ? They are all my slaves, and although they are not in chains yet, they cannot run away from me. HERE IS A MASTER FOR SALE - whosoever can afford a master should bid for him'

There are many savants who on account of their wisdom and spirituality have lived a fearless life, because they have willingly surrendered themsleves to the Will of Allah. Our Fatemi history is enriched with many such incidents of true heroism, the one that readily comes to mind as I write is that of Syedna Kutbuddin Saheed (AQ)

He was chained and bound in the durbar of Auranzeb, but by his fearless utterance of Truth, he made all of them look like minions

It was the radiant Spirituality and surrender to the Will of Allah that enslaved Auranzeb, sitting on the throne, and although tied and bowed down in chains, Moulana Kutbuddin Saheed (RA) towered over every one. This is the power of Spirituality and Wisdom

Friends try to inculcate Spirituality in your daily lives, and feel true ecstacy and joy, that the material world will never be able to offer.

Repentance -Istigfar requires five elements

01. The first and foremost is recognition of one’s sin as sin, which largely depends upon one’s intelligence and moral consciousness. Moral consciousness is formed by adhering to the tenets of deen, imbibing values cherished by our beloved Aqa Moula (TUS)etc: For an intelligent and devout mumineen, a small transgression is a sin, to those who are seeped in materialism, a sinful act in fact, may not be viewed as such. This is a subject, which requires in-depth analysis. In short, recognition of sin as sin- is the first step.

02. Remorse – it is feeling that one should have if he wants to repent. A feeling of regret, despair and anguish, for having failed to maintain one’s moral standard. An intense feeling of being alienated from Allah and His Wali and one’s own spiritual roots, a feeling of having cheated his own self.

03. Desisting from sin – now this is neither a moral or intellectual analysis nor feeling, it is ACTION (‘Just Do it’ is not the only prerogative of NIKE – it should also be a resolve of every mumineen ) How one has to achieve – by changing of the course, by desisting from the pattern of sinful action, to which one has become addicted, a concerted effort has to be made, by consciously suppressing the thoughts and fantasies about the sinful activity. Once that is achieved, to make a firm commitment never to commit the sinful act.

04. Restitution – which means making good or giving compensation from an injury or hurt inflicted by word or action. It is act of making good, as best as one can, for the damage done. If one has stolen, one must return the object or pay compensation. If one has damaged one’s reputation, one must attempt to correct the injury inflicted.

05. Confession requires uttering of specific wrong done personally to the wronged person. In other cases pleading to Allah with true fervor to forgive for the sins committed.

Sinfulness is a very deep rooted malady of human existence, and dealing with it calls upon all our spiritual, intellectual, and moral resources – desisting from sin, is the bedrock of true repentance.

The Mansha Mubaraka of Aqa Moula (TUS) to plant more than 2 lac trees to save the Environment and in order to attain his 'khushi' and sawab this Sehrullah, at the age of 69 years I planted my first tree, in the forest land of our Society.

In all 53 trees were planted by the mumineen residents of the Society on Sunday 11th June 2016. It was indeed a joyous and memorable occasion.

After returning home I reflected and read - Sehrullah is the month of reflection.

''Trees are poems that the earth writes upon the sky' Khalil Gibran

' Nature has many marvels; but a tree
Seems more than marvellous. It is divine
So generous, so tender, so benign.
Oh ! Privilege beyond explaining words
To plant a tree. ' - Ella Wheeler Wilcox

I read with interest how trees help in combating climate change, cleaning the air we breath, provide us with Oxygen, cool the neighborhood, conserve energy, save water, shield children from ultra violet rays and many more benefits that will make this world of ours a better place to live.

As I read and reflected my mind went back to the tree I had planted and wondered how much my tree will contribute to the Environment. I share with readers what I learnt.

Hopefully my tree when matured will consume 48 pounds of Carbon Dioxide per year and as it will convert CO2 and release Oxygen it is going to give me an Oxygen supply for two years.
( the amount of Oxygen consumed by an individual in two years will be released by my tree in the atmosphere)

My tree will absorb ozone, a portent green house gas. The shade of my tree as it grows will save the same amount of energy as what ten room size air conditioners running for 20 hours a day. WOW!

I felt so blessed to have been a small part of the noble and far reaching initiative of our beloved Aqa Moula (TUS) to combat the harmful effects of carbon prints and save and re- energize our Environment.

Pune received it's first proper monsoon rains yesterday evening (27 mm) and so today early after Fazr namaz, I climed the steep slopes of the Society to see MY TREE.

It was a joy to look at it, ever so fresh and gently swaying in the cool breeze, and so were the remaining 52 trees. MY TREE as it swayed seemed to whispering to me - ' I am fine and I may outlive you, I will be there for everyone to enjoy and share and provide Nourishment to the Environment, do not worry !!

I returned home feeling blessed with doa on my lips for A'li Qadr Muffadsal Moula (TUS) for having made me aware of the importance of preserving the Environment and the importance of planting trees.

Just came across a very soulful rendering of Kabir Doha - CHADDAR JHEENI RANG JHEENI which I share with my readers.

https://youtu.be/Bte_-QW_WkI

Subtitle in English will make it easy to understand the depth and meaning of the Kabir Doha. Kabir was a 15th Century mystic poet and saint, who was a weaver by profession. He was raised by a Muslim family, but in his later life was influenced by bhakti leader Ramananda.

VIPUL RIKHI is a poet, translator and singer based in Bangalore. He has worked extensively on Kabir and I have become an admirer of his soul stirring rendering of Kabir Dohas and his in depth explanations which brings to fore the nuance and beauty of Kabir Dohas.

Herein below I have tried to note down a few excerpts from his explanation prior to rendering of the Doha CHADDAR JHEENI RANG JHEENI in a two hour satsang in Mumbai. The excerpts are not verbatim and I am conveying what I have managed to write down and understand and reflect upon.

KABIR has referred to the Divine Essence with many different names and symbolism - Ram - Rahim - Allah.

Being a weaver by profession KABIR creates a symbolism and imagery of Chaddar. KABIR did not write, but conveyed the spiritual knowledge in oral tradition. Music if rendered with bhakti - devotion carries the words and thoughts beyond mind, it seeps deep down into our entire being. It moves the Mind - Heart and Soul.

The divinity is the material which is woven on the spinning wheel which turns on eight lotus comprising of five senses ( elements) and three gunas.

Our actions, our karmas are the balls of cotton that are being Ginned, the dross (seeds) is removed and the pure cotton moves on in 'waft' and 'weft' ( ingla - pingla) - referrers the duality of this world ( night -day, man - woman etc:) but KABIR says that we should be mindful of the 3rd Channel the middle one the SINGLE on which the ingla -pingla are being crafted.

It took 9 solar months ( 10 lunar months ) for the cloth to be made, and it was woven right ( thik thak) which symbolizes our physical body in a sense.

It was given to the washer man, who dipped in the pool of water (word - actions) and was beaten on the stone of awareness and dyed with different hues, but KABIR says the permanent everlasting color is that of Universal Love (Bhakti - Spirituality)

This Chaddar was worn by all of us - the enlightened and also the worldly, and thus got soiled and dirty (maili ) KABIR says it should be worn with Awareness, and he was the one who wore it with Awareness and returned it in good condition as he had received it.

We should live a life of Spiritual Awareness, so that when it is our time to depart we leave behind a clean, unblemished CHADDAR.

Hope I have been able to convey the essence. If there is some error it is because of my limited understanding and I seek forgiveness.

I never get tiered of hearing the following lyrical composition of VIPUL RIKHI which made me undertake this journey of trying to understand and appreciate KABIR and in a sense my true self.
MILAD UL NABI (S.A.) MUBARAK TO MY READERS. Would like to share a very fortunate meeting during the Milad Celebration maukib with a very talented mumin bhai - a true Achiever, about whom I had heard but had an opportunity to meet and interact for the first time. Dr. Shafaqat S. Rahi is a true achiever in the field of Gujarati Literature, specially Gujarati Gazals, although his literary works comprising in all of 32 publications, covers all genres, and he is also been writing in many renowned syndicated columns.

Dr. S.Rahi received his Doctorate from Gujarat University in 1991 and besides that has received many awards and accolades from prominent Gujarati literary circles. It was a real privilege to talk with an Achiever of our community. As we interacted over coffee I traveled back in time, to the sixties, much before TV and Electronic Media ruled the roost, and a good book reading drove away the blues and struggles of daily living.

I recall borrowing books from Saifee Club Library - Calcutta for my mother, who had a difficult time raising five boisterous kids in a single room, which we called our home. I fondly recollect, once she got hold of a SHAYDA book, she would find solace and peace in the literary world of her own. I myself recall reading MAA TE MAA ( in 2 parts) Another famous read of his was AMINA.

SHAYDA was the pen name of Harji Lavji Damani who studied only till Class 4 but was a genius, when it came to story telling

I write this with a purpose. I know that most of my readers may not be knowing Gujarati, I myself over the years have not read Gujarati literature, but interacting with Dr. Rahi made me aware of a lost passion and my parents. Likewise, I hope there may be elderly parents and relatives in your family, who may have learnt to read and send whats app messages, most forwards, with no individual creativity, but at the same time may be pining to read some good Gujarati literature and relive their old passion.

Dr. S. Rahi's books are available on line.

The night of 8th Nov: 2016 will be for ever etched in the hearts and the minds of Indians. For the past five days each waking and at times sleeping hours have been hijacked completely by HDN which took a royal bow at the midnight hour, and left the entire nation in a state of shock and awe.

The epoch moment is etched in my memory. On that particular night my wife Rabab had loaned me her 'telly time' for I was interested to watch the news of the American Election on Al Jazeera. I was amused and dismayed at the news report of Hindu outfits in India organizing 'havans' in Mandirs and homes for the success of Donald Trump victory. They wanted him to come to power for he had declared that he will not allow Muslims to enter the US once he assumes Presidency.

With complete blanket ban on Muslims, the Hindus of our great country, saw an opportunity to get more H1 - B Visas and an American Dream. I am sure within hours of PM Modi's surgical strikes, the 'havans' may have been put aside and new 'havans' for protection of wealth may have been started.

The American population in general regard Indians as a single entity. An incident after Trump victory will prove this. Manik Rathee in his twitter account states that he was stopped at a gas station by jubilant Trump supporters and told " time to get out of the country Appu" So the bigots and personal agenda driven Hindu outfits will have to work real hard with the general American population to make them aware of the difference between a Hindu and a Muslim, which they broadly classify as Asians, brown skins, which both Hindus and Muslims sadly have.

Now it was time to watch the Hindi News 8 pm - one full hour coverage on American Election, but the Anchor announced ' Breaking News- stand by important announcement by Prime Minster Narendra Modi. As the Nation waited including your's truly, the Anchor read the news of skirmishes at the border and the high powered Meeting the PM had with the Home Minister and three Army Chiefs. I assumed that it will have something to do with the announcement of launching massive surgical strike on Pakistan to teach them a lesson once and for all.

Who knew that the surgical strike announced by PM Narendrabhai Modi will make our entire Nation ( 1.25 crores minus the 1 lac or thereabout as per PM 's estimate who have amassed black money ) stand in line for days.

Today after returning from Japan he greatly appreciated the sacrifice we ordinary Indians are making on daily basis, and gave out an emotional appeal, with pregnant pauses in between, to bear for only 50 more days at the end of which he will place a ' GREAT INDIA ' in our laps, although he had failed in his Election promise to put 15 lacs in each Indians Bank Account. I for one was moved to tears by his speech.

Although having returned empty handed from Bank after having stood in line for hours, I have resolved to go each day, stand in line for my country till I receive from the Bank the allotted quota of my own money, and show exemplary sacrifice by buying the basic necessity of life and do with the amount that I hope to receive.

The News channels always play spoil sport. I was so moved by PM Modi speech and my resolve to do my bit for the Nation. My dream like reverie was shattered when all the News Channels started to broadcast the reaction to PM Modi's speech by the maverick Arwind Kejriwal. Now this fellow is a real thorn in the rapidly growing robust flesh of the BJP.

He has very simple down to earth solutions. The nail in the coffin of his reaction to PM Modi's speech was that, why make the entire Nation of 1.25 crores ( minus the 1 lac or thereabout corrupt) stand in line for days on end and suffer deprivation, why not bring to book the 600 + holders of Swiss Bank Accounts, the names and all the details are there with the Government. Why not use the Power Vacuum and flush out the dirt, at one single go. Swatch Abhiyan with broom sticks and water hoses, is good, but very laborious, and the results will take 50 days to show.

It is for this very reason I do not like Arwind Kejriwal. I would have stood in line joyfully for days on end, but after his 'spanner in the works' it will make my standing - I have to stand in line for my own money at the micro level and for good of the Nation, at the macro level - my standing in line will be less joyous, painful at times, as he has implanted doubts in my Modi enthused mind.

Readers who have been following my 'write up' will be feeling surprised by my present genre of the post. It is my surgical strike on their Mindset.

In truth I would not have written but out of the hundreds of whatsapp messages, Face Book posts twitter and numerous news items, some really very funny, creative and informative I came across a precious gem of reflective thinking, which being a writer of Spirituality and Deen really blew me off. A great piece of reflective thinking, when everyone is busy with money (wordly) matter. It is sad that the author remains unknown, but I have said a prayer for him. Such are the people who in turbulent times, become our beacon and guiding light.

It was this niyat to publish the reflective thinking that on this Sunday evening I decided to forgo all the News, punditry, discussion, political slug fest, and dismaying reports of India standing 'in line' to share with my Readers the following reflective piece.

At the end of 50 days we will have a Better Vibrant India, I fervently hope, but honestly do not know. However, this much I know, on reading this shared gem of a piece, you will surely become a better person. Please share my post if you feel that the shared insightful piece will help your loved ones, and friends to become better person.

Everybody is concerned about the overnight action making high value currency invalid across India. Nobody saw it coming; or was prepared; or had even any idea of its happening.

But there is something else which we know will surely come, but are not sure when, where and how - that is death. And it will come even more stealthily than this!

We had 4 hours advance notice for this - but in death, there will not be 4 seconds. Are we prepared for the secrecy and suddenness in Death?

We had Lakhs of Rupees in 500 and 1,000 denomination yesterday - but today they are just pieces of paper!

Similarly, all wordly gains - money, wealth, fame, power - not just high currency - will all be worthless for us a second after death.

Like the ATMs and Banks are closed today, options to do good deeds will close with death. No further good deeds can be done / notes withdrawn by us directly.

We can enjoy the assets we purchased earlier with the 500 / 1,000 currency but can't purchase any new ones now. Similarly, only the lasting assets of good deeds we created will benefit us after death - no new goodness can then be done.

Let us test ourselves - do we have authentic notes or fakes ones - of success, relations, happiness, even good deeds? Is our life itself authentic or are we living a fake life in a fake world?

For each of your actions, you shall be questioned and your source / intention seen.

The mountain beckoned and knowing the path to be trekked will be difficult, I was confident that my QUEST will open up some hidden trails among the difficult and rugged mountain terrains, which will lead me to understand the truth. My climb was not in vain,as you will surely agree if you trek along with me. Believe me you will surely rise into and above the clouds and witness the amazing radiance of knowledge.

The mountain which beckoned was the Book : Hyperspace – A scientific Odyssey Through Parallel Universes by Dr. Michio Kaku.

Not being a student of science you will now understand why the trek was so daunting, but if you trek along, you will find how I found some hidden trails that led me to better understanding. The hidden trails are the insights I was blessed with. They are giving in the brackets, as I managed to read a scientific best selling book.

This book is about a scientific revolution created by the theory of hyperspace, which states that dimensions exist beyond the commonly accepted four of space and time. There is a growing acknowledgement among physicist, that the universe may actually exist in higher dimension space.

For me personally although not a student of science, the Book provided deep insights into my belief, science seems to be finally starting to accept long held spiritual truths.

In the very onset of the Book in Chapter 1 Dr. Kaku gives a brilliant example from his childhood days, when he used to watch the carps, in the shallow pond in a Japanese garden.

‘Living their entire lives in the shallow pond, the carp would believe that their ‘universe’ consisted of the murky water and the lilies. Spending most of their time foraging on the bottom of the pond, they would be dimly aware that an alien world could exist above the surface. The nature of my world was beyond their comprehension. I was intrigued that I could sit only a few inches from the carp, yet separated from them by an immense chasm. The carp and I spent our lives in two distinct universes, never entering each other’s world, yet were separated by only the thinnest barrier, the water’s surface.

I often think that we are like carp swimming contentedly in our pond. We live out our lives in our own “pond”. We smugly refuse to admit that parallel universes or dimensions can exist next to ours, just beyond our grasp. (Great Spiritual Masters and mystics have experienced and visualized and some have tried to convey the unseen dimensions and universes. Now scientists are accepting in theory )

Another striking example is given by Peter Freud, who has stated that laws of nature become simpler and elegant, when expressed in higher dimensions, which is their natural home (A’lam al Ibda – ten dimensional A’lam al Amr which came into existence by the Command ‘kun fayakun’ )

Freud, in explaining why higher dimensions are exiting the imagination of the scientific world, uses the following analogy. ‘Think for a moment of a cheetah, a sleek beautiful animal, one of the fastest on the earth, which roams freely on the savannas of Africa. In its natural habitat, it is a magnificent animal. Almost a work of art, unsurpassed in speed or grace.

Now think of a cheetah that has been captured and thrown into a miserable cage in a zoo. It has lost its original grace and beauty, and is put in the cage for our amusement. We only see the broken spirit of the cheetah, not its original power and elegance. The cheetah likewise can be compared to the laws of physics, which are beautiful in the higher dimensions. However, because of human limitation, we can only measure the laws of physics, when they are broken and placed on display in a cage, which is our three dimensional laboratory. We only see the cheetah when its grace and beauty have been stripped away.

(From this I infer how the Spiritual Masters are able to experience the Higher Truths, as they can ‘home in’ to the higher dimensions, and be able to comprehend, whereas we laymen, miss the bus as we have not the knowledge to comprehend, as we are used to seeing and understanding at our own level )

The advantage of ten dimensional space is that we have enough room in which to accommodate all the four fundamental forces.

The leading scientists like Alan Guth and Freund are of the opinion that the energy scale necessary to investigate the higher dimensions is far beyond anything available on earth. The energy necessary to probe the tenth dimension is a quadrillion times larger than the energy that can be produced by our largest atom smasher!!

Introducing higher dimensions may be essential for prying loose the secrets of Creation. According to this theory, before the Big Bang, our cosmos was actually a perfect ten dimensional universe. (Is Dr. Kaku talking of A’lam al Ibda ?) However, this ten dimensional world was unstable, (read Sayedi Sadikali sahib Nashihat - ' khatir na varq par likh hiqmat ni kahani ne ' pages 321 to 323 ) and eventually it ‘cracked’ in two, creating two separate universes; a four and six dimensional Universe. The Universe in which we live was born in that cosmic cataclysm. Our four dimensional Universe expanded explosively (‘huboot’ tenebrosity according to our belief ) while our twin six dimensional universe contracted violently, until it shrank to almost infinitesimal… this six dimensional universe may ultimately be our salvation !!

(Reading this made me wonder is this some theoretical physicist talking or a Spiritual savant. Science and Spirituality are coming so close. Hope in near future with the help of both, we will be able to understand Tawheed – ONENESS )

How fortunate are we in this internet age. Information on practically all topics under the Sun, for ordinary guys like me is so very easy to acquire. Just Google it – and hey presto! It is there.

Let me share with you an interesting story. How difficult it was for the best of minds in the bygone era. They had to sweat and burn midnight oil just to crave for information. But still the bottom line is that, they were original thinkers, and torch bearers.

Let me share with you an interesting story. Dr. Albert Einstein’s proudest piece of work, even more than is celebrated equation
E = MC2 was the simple yet profound equation ‘ Matter – energy determines curvature of space- time’

This deceptively short equation is one of the greatest triumphs of the human mind. From it emerge the principles behind the motions of stars and galaxies, black holes, the Big Bang and perhaps the fate of the Universe itself.

Nevertheless Einstein was still missing the piece of the puzzle. He had discovered the correct physical principle, but lacked a rigorous mathematical formula powerful enough to express this principle.

He discovered the physical principle but lacked mathematical apparatus. He spent 3 long frustrating years, from 1912 to 1915 in a desperate search for mathematical formula powerful enough to express the principle.

The world’s most powerful mind was in search for 3 long years.
( How I wish Google was there during his time, it would have made it a child’s play, and would have given him space to concentrate on other weighty problems.)

Einstein in desperation wrote to his close friend and mathematician Marcel Grossman, pleading “ you must help me or else I’ll go crazy !” Poor soul !

Fortunately Grossman, to help his friend, combed through library for clues to Einstein’s problem, and fortunately accidentally stumbled upon the work of Riemann. His work had been ignored by physicist for over 60 years, but to Einstein joy he found the mathematical formula that was long evading him. The celebrated 1854 lecture by Riemann was the key to the problem.

He found that he could incorporate the entire body of Riemann’s work in the reformulation of his principle. Almost line for line, the great work of Riemann found its true home in Einstein’s principle.

Riemann’s great contribution was that he introduced the concept of metric tensor, a field that is defined at all points in space. The metric tensor is not a single number. At each point in space, it consists of ten numbers !! ( Now this is exiting for me – ten numbers in all points of space. The Tenth Intellect – Sayedi Sadik ali sahib in his Nashihat says “ aa duniya na A’shir ne havala chhe” )

Now let us look back on little Albert while he was growing up. The life of Albert Einstein appears to be one long series of failures. His mother was distressed at how slowly he learnt to talk. His elementary school teacher thought of him as a foolish dreamer. They complained that he was constantly disrupting classroom discipline with silly questions. He had few friends, and dropped out of high school.

He took special exam to enter College but he flunked and had to take it the second time. On graduation he applied for teaching jobs, but was rejected several times. Finally with the help of a friend, he landed a clerical job at the Swiss Patent office and the rest is history.

Likewise, the life struggle of George Riemann who gave the world the theory of higher dimensions, which Albert Einstein would use after six decades to explain the creation of Universe, also makes an interesting reading.

The core of Riemann’s work was the realization that physical laws simplify in higher dimensional space, the very theme of this book.

Riemann was born in 1826 at Hanover, Germany, the son of a poor Lutheran pastor, the second of his six children. Life was a day to day struggle.

At the very early age, Riemann exhibited his famous traits, fantastic calculation ability, coupled with timidity and life long horror of public speaking. He set out to become a student of Theology, but his thoughts always drifted back to mathematics.

He was an avid reader and he completed reading of a ponderous 859 page masterpiece Theory of Numbers in just under 6 days.

Beset by daily struggle to put food on the table, Riemann’s father might have sent the boy to do menial jobs and help the family finances. Instead he scraped together enough funds to send the 19 year to the renowned University of Gottingen, where he met and befriended the acclaimed Mathematician Carl Gauss.

Life for Riemann, however, was an endless series of set backs and hardships, coupled with frail health. Eventually, Riemann was able to give his famous lecture on June 10, 1854 before the faculty of University of Gottingen and a new Geometry was born.
Riemann’s lecture exposed the world to the dazzling properties of higher dimensional space.

These everflowing and overflowing rivers of Jannah, nurtures our souls, they are all encompassing - the knowledge contained in their swirl and whirl, in their ebb and flow, everywhere at the same time, at the source, at the mouth, at the waterfall, it widens and deepens as it rubs and scours.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Imam Ja'far Muhammad As - Sadiq ( S.A.) contributions to the advancement of Science, philosophy, literature and Irfan (Gnostics ) are stupendous but it is a matter of regret that, the Islamic world has not given due credence that his contributions to the Sciences deserve.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">It is indeed very surprising at the same time perplexing that there are tombs of books, manuscripts and references made about a few of his famous students, where as the great contributions of the true TEACHER and IMAM do not get honorable mention in the least.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Just one example from many such instances. In Encyclopedia of Islam complied by Ahmad A'ti there are more than 400 pages devoted to Imam Shafi - a student of Imam Ja'far as Sadiq ( A.S.) where as a mere seven line mention on the Imam ( A.S.)
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">In Sahih al Bukhari more than a thousand narrations on Fiqh ( Jurisprudence) and other related topics are attributed to Abu Hanifa - another student of Imam Ja'far as Sadiq ( S.A.) who studied under him for two years, but not a single narration attributed to the Imam ( S.A.) Abu Hanifa who commands a following of approx : 31 % of the Muslim Ummah largely in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and other countries, and was in the habit of acknowledging at the start of his lectures that he has received knowledge from ' my Master Imam Ja'far as Sadiq ( S.A.) and he has famously been reported to say that ' if it was not for my two years of study under the Imam, I would have been finished'
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">If one is to ask the followers of Abu Hanifa known as ' Hanafi School' who the true teacher of their Imam was, most of them will know not.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Likewise Malik ibn Anas another student of the Imam ( S.A.) who has a following of 25 % of Muslim Ummah, largely concentrated in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia regions, and was reported to have famously said that ' no eye has seen, no ear has heard a man of knowledge like my Imam 'as Sadiq'. Malik Ibn Anas is the center of love and devotion of his followers, who hardly know about his TEACHER - Imam Ja'far as Sadiq ( S.A.)
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Another famous student was Jabir bin Hayyan ( Geber to the Orientalists ) a prominent alchemist, pharmacist, philosopher, astronomer and physicist. If one just Google him, there will more than a lakh page hits. He acknowledged Imam as his TEACHER and famously said ' My Master taught me about Calcium and everything in Chemistry and other Sciences I learnt from him.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Ja'far ul Barmaki was a prominent personality whose daughter Hasana fell very ill and was not responsive to treatments by the experts. Some one suggested the name of Jabir Hayyan a student of Imam Ja'far as Sadiq ( S.A.) who was requested to come. On seeing the girl he immediately surmised that lack of Calcium was making the bones brittle. Under Jabir's expert treatment, Hasana bounced back to good health.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Jabir earned favors from the powerful Barmaki family, he married one of the daughters and on the fall of the Ummayads was gifted their palace Jamea ul Awami, where with his numerous students carried out scientific research.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Thus for centuries as his students became world famous the contribution of the true TEACHER the Imam was only confined to a few of his followers. A really sad state of affairs.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">The contribution of Imam Ja'far as Sadiq (S.A.) to the Sciences was bought at center stage of the academia in the recent years by five Ph. D students - The Research Committee of Strasbourg - France. The thesis was translated in Persian and has become a best seller and gone into its fourth publication and Kaukali Ali Mirza has done an English translation ' The Great Muslim Scientist and Philosopher - Imam Jafar Ibn Muhammad As- Sadiq A.S. The Great Scientist and Philosopher' This great work enlightens how the Muslim world in particular and the entire humanity is indebted to the Imam for their scientific and intellectual awakening.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Imam Ja'far Sadiq (S.A.) was born in 83rd Hijri (702 A.D.) during the oppressive Ummayed rule , lived for 63 years and during his life time witnessed the horrendous acts of both the Ummayed and Abbasids, but found an opportune moment for spread of knowledge as a time when the Ummayed rule was tottering and the Abbasid revolt to seize power was on the rise.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Such was the pathetic state of the Muslim Ummah that Ummayed Khalif Walid bin Abdul Malik in a fully intoxicated state told one of his wife who was also in a drinking binge with him to lead salaat prayers. After mild protest, she did lead the Muslims in prayers, and not a single one had the courage to protest, although they were fuming inside.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">A chance meeting with Al Masoor the Ummayed Khalif in Kaba and saving him from embarrassment by answering for him a fiqh matter,resulted in his granting permission to the Imam to teach in Kufa. Thus ilm Ladunni (Divine knowledge) started to flow in torrents from Masjid e Kufa, so much so that at a given time there were about 900 halqas (circles) of students imbibing Fatemi Uloom from various teachers who had studied under Imam on different subjects, and Imam in person practicing and preaching and becoming a radiant example.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Malik ibn Anas is reported to have said : ' I have seen the Imam engrossed in three things - fasting, salaat and teaching and tilawat of Quran'
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Imam Ja'far Sadiq (A.S.) love for knowledge started at a very young age under the tutelage of none other than Imam Zainul Abedeen (S.A.) When he was 12 years of age, his grand father - the great Imam departed and till the age of 31 he received knowledge and guidance from his illustrious father and Imam Mohammad al Baqir (S.A.)
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">At a very young age he had mastered the teachings of Philosophers of Greek and Alexandria, and not only that he pointed out the shortcomings in their teachings. His student Hisham bin Hakim after receiving knowledge from Imam (S.A.) use to debate with atheist, and proved the existence of Allah.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Imam Ja'far as Sadiq (S.A.) was one of the most patient and tolerant teachers of his time. If one is to read the account of his long discussion with a confirmed and powerful atheist Abu Shakir, one will realize that only Haq na saheb, and that to an illustrious Imam can patiently answer the tirades and personal affronts made by the atheist. (Those interested may read it on
<span style="color: red; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">al-islam. org.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">'The momentous intellectual awakening of Muslims witnessed in the second century of the Hijra was not due to Hellenic or other foreign influences, as some Western historians have recorded. It was the result of the untiring and ceaseless efforts made by the members of the Prophet's family to bring about that golden age of knowledge.' al-islam.org
<span style="color: red; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: red; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">At the age of 12 years he rejected the theory of four elements of Aristotle, and stated that water, air , earth and fire were not elements but a mixture of Elements. the Imam said it 1100 years ago before European Scientists conclusively proved that air was not an element and had separated its constituents.

In recent weeks there have been many Whatsapp messages in our community groups, which renewed my interest on the subject Cancer. Sharing my reading and understanding on the subject, which may prove useful to those in whose family someone is undergoing treatment.

Cell oxidation is one of the major risks in the formation of Cancer,
the more susceptible the cells are to oxygen, the greater the risk of getting cancer. As such, breathing of pure air is the basic need. Malignant or cancerous tumours invade tissues where they grow, often passing into blood stream and the lymphatic system forming secondary tumours at other sites known as metastasis.

Some of the known causes are Genetic, environmental, lifestyle, harmful food constituents and psychological.

Studies have established that there is a relationship between diet and the development of large number of malignant tumours. The types of Cancers most closely associated with diet are colon, rectal, prostrate and breast cancers.

Aqa Moula (TUS) has been giving a lot of emphasis on the use of Olive Oil ( Zaitun ) in cooking, and studies have shown that olives and olive oil contain antioxidants in abundance, and the risk of Cancer is less in those who have Mediterranean diet, that is Olives - fish - fruits and vegetables. The vitamins and antioxidants in olive oil attack the toxins.

Studies have shown that olive oil intake reduced the number of cancerous lesions, the tumors were less aggressive and has better prognosis. Much however has to be discovered how Olive Oil affects cancer and concrete data is lacking.

Louise Hay in her best seller ' You can Heal Your Life ' puts great emphasis on Intention, positive thinking and understanding the cause. According to her the probable cause is. - deep hurt, longstanding resentment. Holding on to deep secret or grief eating away at the self, and carrying hatred.

She advices to repeat with faith the Intention ' I lovingly forgive and release all of the past. I choose to fill the whole world with joy. I love and approve myself. '

I personally feel that those who are suffering from Cancer should look inward and try to find out the deep seated hurt, resentment, hatred that they may be carrying, and then to put it in writing and repeat the intention of forgiving and release of the past.

This mental exercise may prove helpful while one us carrying on with the allopathic or other forms of medical treatment.

Another established form of ancient treatment which is safe and does not interfere with or replace general forms of allopathic and other medical treatment is Energy ( Pranic ) Healing. It is rather a compliment to be tried out in good faith. As my two sisters are Certified Pranic Healers and myself had done a Basic Course, I have witnessed first hand some of the benefits. My dependence on pain killers has lessened.

Pranic Healing is a science that uses Laws of Nature to bring about Healing. Prana or 'ki' is that life energy which keeps the body alive and healthy. Disease first appears in the Energy Body, and can be prevented from manifesting. The mind can influence to a certain degree the pattern if the Energy Body. There are Eleven Energy Centers or Chakras in the body.

If the visible physical body and energy body are treated simultaneously, obviously the rate of healing will be much faster and more effective than orthodox medicine alone or Pranic Healing alone.

The Basic Chakra located at the base of the spine has to be cleaned and energized. The energy body of a cancer patient is very depleted and congested. It is in these area where there is Pranic congestion that cancer cells thrive. Rapid growth of cells requires a lot of Pranic energy. The objective if the treatment is to relieve the patient from agonizing pain and to reduce the spread and growth of cancer cells by starving them of Pranic energy.

Swimming in the Sea or salt water bath is very effective in removing diseased energy and the water with salt treatment will substantially clean the energy body and gradually strengthen the body and it's defense system. This treatment us simple but quite effective and should be taken seriously. Pranic breathing in a relaxed state in a clean surrounding energizes the body.

Eating proper food, intake of sufficient quantity of water, breathing properly, doing sufficient physical exercise, leading a moderate life style , having a calm disposition and clear and decisive mind would greatly help maintain one's physical, emotional and mental well being.

Book Refrence : The Ancient Science And Art of Pranic Healing - Master Choa Kok Sui.

I conclude by sharing a deep breathing exercise that I have been doing in which Intention - Prana - Faith are integrated. Mentally it has done be world of good, as for physical benefit, this much can be vouchsafed , that I bounce back to health much faster although I have to take medicines,mid the severity of pain and discomfort is high.

Let me share it with you.

I inhale deeply and slowly and hold my breath , and saying mentally and bringing my subconscious awareness the following words ' good prana is going in, I am being healed in body - mind and spirit. Alhamdolillah.

I exhale slowly saying ' bad prana has come out - I am HEALED SubhanAllah '

Note the positive affirmation and Intention - Healed and Hamd of Allah.

I repeat it 5 - 10 times depending upon my mood.

Hope you can give a try.

As I was about to publish the post, we received ' Thali' and in it were Olives - Alhamdolillah. A'li Qdr Muffadal Moula (TUS) on whose irshaad munira, each and every mumin household around the world has received 'Thali' with Olives shows how much love and care our Aqa Moula has for us, how words are put into action.

'Shifa' is in the Olives, more so in the Doa Mubarak of Aqa Moula, in his Intention and in our partaking it with full affirmation and faith.
The broad aims behind the Summit are as follows:

Discover, Learn, Believe, Transform
Nourish Your Mind, Body and Soul
Treasure All Of Your Experiences
True Happiness Resides Within

Dr. Deepak Chopra talks about the place of God in our modern age.

https://www.hayhouseworldsummit.com/lessons/god-today/

Reality is different in different states of consciousness.
Thought is also a veil.
Enlightment comes with unity of consciousness.
who am I ? According to my belief a repenting soul, who realised his folly immediately when he fell, and looked upon His Lord who assured that He will surely bring me back.
Who is asking the question ? An evolving and aware soul on his way faring journey towards his Lord.
As for the future of God - ultimate Reality or whatever you say. I have a gut feeling that He must surely have tuned in to the talk, andmay be having the last laugh, at us mortals, being worried about His future :))

Dr. Joe Dispenza - neouro scientist and best seeling author, discusses on how we can harness the body's innate intelligence, to improve our health and life.

https://www.hayhouseworldsummit.com/lessons/information-to-transformation/

Become CEO of our own body containing trillions of cells, which also has it's own well stocked pharmacy and the ability to heal. Our thoughts make us sick, so like wise it also can make us healthy. The need is to surrender and trust.
When we disconnect, when we become ' nobody' a miracle happens, our consiousness takes the centre stage, and in uncertainity possibilities are born.
Consciousness brings about change in the matter, creating a new personality. New experience over rides and over writes.

Louise Hay in conversastion with Robert Holden shares stories of their personal journeys, and how to create Miracles in our own life.

https://www.hayhouseworldsummit.com/lessons/creating-miracles-in-your-own-life/

Try to hear the inner ding.
Most people do not need so much therapy but what they need is more clarity.
Food is not only for our tastebuds, it gives us a high but is fleeting, whereas eating with awareness helps in infusing energy to our cells, which in turn makes us healthy in mind, body and spirit.
It is all right to feel low at times, do not tarry long, but bounce back.
Tyranny of positive thinking :)) Accept 'what is' but move along.
Stop judging yourself, and you will see love and beauty.
Affirmation : Life loves me. This will pass.

Dr. David Hawkins - renowned psychriastic, researcher and spiritual teacher, delivers an unparreled talk on the relationship between body and spirit.

https://www.hayhouseworldsummit.com/lessons/health-healing-and-the-map-of-consciousness/

We are only subject to what we hold in our mind.
Body responds to what the mind believes.
Thoughts become a programme in our sub conscious mind.
Energy field of the body is 100 whereas that of our mind is between 400 -500 so the power of the thought overpowers our body. The body will do what the mind believes. So in order to heal we have to address the mind. Unravel the programme in the mind.
What mind believes, the body expresses.
There is an unconscious guilt, that brings about illness.
Forgivness, compassion, not being judgemental, acceptance brings about healing.

http://dreamcatcher.net/images/uploads/15751-medium.gif

Dr. Larry Dossey in conversastion with Dr. Wayne Dyer talks about the Power of Prayers to change the World - and You.

https://www.hayhouseworldsummit.com/lessons/the-power-of-prayer-to-change-the-world-and-you/

Twenty years ago in US there were only 3 Medical Schools who were doing scientific studies on distant / pray healings. At present there are 90 Medical Schools who are undertaking different scientific studies. So there is a positive development.
Scientific evidences are a plenty in non locality experiments that go to prove that sub atomic particles, at great distances react with each other. Like wise prayers and intentions can bring about healings, and scientific studies at Medical Schools are proving the same.
You have to just set the stage for your awakening. Awaken to Oneness and loving compassion and see the miracles in your life unfold.
Do not strive too hard, let your wayfaring towards your Lord be in joy and celebration. Do not direct the outcome - trust the Universe to do the best for you, and it will not let you down for sure.
Sell your cleverness and just be in bewilderment - Rumi

The Conscious Mind 12 %

The Sub Conscious Mind 88 %

The Conscious Mind is your objective or thinking mind, it works in the present moment. It has no memory and can hold one thought at a time. It identifies information received through the six senses. It is continually observing and categorising what is going around you. It analyses, compares and decides. Yes/ No. Binary thinking.

Your Subconscious Mind is like a huge memory bank. It's capacity is virtually
unlimited. It permanently stores whatever happens to you. It is most active during the first six years of our life. The function of your subconscious mind is to store and retrieve data. It's job is to respond exactly the way you are programmed.

Subconscious Mind is subjective, it obeys the command received from the
conscious mind. Your subconscious mind has what us called a homeostatic
impulse. It automatically controls your body temperature, normal breathing, heart beats, nervous system.

Subconscious Mind refers to layers or levels of perceptions, located beneath
conscious awareness. It does not like to get ruffled, it likes to work and dwell in
its comfort zone.

As Subconscious Mind is your memory bank, it carries a lot of unwanted
baggage. New Age Thinkers are trying to understand and unravel the working of
the subconscious mind, which on account of negative impressions, memories
and thinking acquired over the years, inhibits and restricts development and
growth by holding back. The subconscious mind does not want to get ruffled.

The conscious mind can be made into a very effective tool, to remove all the past negative baggage carried in the huge memory bank of the subconscious mind.

We have to delete a lot of unwanted data.

We have to first become aware. Affirm that yes we are carrying a lot of
undesirable and unwanted perceptions, hurt, suppressed anger and feelings,
which are manifesting into our lives by way of illness, fear, self pity. There is much garbage that needs cleaning up.

Let me share with you, how I go about deleting and removing the unwanted and
inhibiting impressions, that pop up at life situations, apparently seeming to help me and protect me, but in fact restricting my growth and creativity.

As stated earlier normal breathing is controlled by our subconscious mind, but once we start doing deep control breathing, becoming aware with each breath, our conscious mind takes over.

There are many better and effective ways in bringing your Conscious Mind to act as a 'change agent', one can look up on the Net or read Books. I am just sharing my ways of going about it.

With the help of deep breathing I send repeated subtle message to my
subconscious that now I am in control. This is how I go about it. With each deep in breath with the diaphragm pulling down, creating more space,
for the air to fill, I say with full awareness. ' good prana (life energy ) is going in, I am getting healed in body, mind and spirit, Alhamdolillah ' this I say in mind, visualising as I hold my breath.

This is followed by slow out breath and I say and visualize ' Bad prana is coming out, I am healed - SubhanAllah '

I repeat it for 6 -10 times, and I am confident that in so doing my conscious mind is able to impress on my subconscious mind, that it has now to work in this specific area, and not to send out alarm signals, and only to retrieve positive data, whenever life situation demands.

It sends out a clear message that now I choose calmly and objectively to see my old patterns, and I am willing to make changes.

Just reflect - Which of these statements sounds like you.
' people are out there to get me'
' everyone is always helpful'

Each of these belief will create different experiences. What we believe about
ourselves, and about life becomes true for us.

I am also in the habit of taking daily morning walks for a duration of approx twenty minutes, and have formed a habit of listening through my ear phones to a very melodious and spiritual rendering of the Ninety Nine Names of Allah
( duration 3.5 mins) I have been doing it for years.

However, recently I heard an interesting talk by Dr. Bruce H. Lipton ( author of the Best Seller ' Biology of Belief' ) and came to understand that our subconscious runs like a continuous tape. All our past fears, hurts,admonitions,
and all the negative and horrific scenes, that we witness daily on the News Channels and Print Media, the violence and mayhem shown in Movies, to which we come addicted, all these get downloaded in our subconscious.

So very recently I have started to become aware of the Ninety Nine Names of Allah, as it plays out, and as I do 'tasbih' of the Names I also affirm with full conviction that with the Power of these Ninety Nine Names of Allah, all my accumulated hurt, fear and negativity that is being played out in my subconsciousness is getting deleted.

At the end of each rendering I say out aloud - ' delete - delete - delete ' !! It is fun, every thing does not have to be serious and sombre. You may consider me to be foolish, but for me it is working - and that is important. It is my life after all.

In so doing I am bringing in my awareness in the ' present moment ' living in the Present as taught by Echart Tolle (Book - The Power of Now ) affirming with my conscious mind, and having faith and full conviction that the Power of Allah's Ninety Nine Names, is deleting all that is detrimental and undesirable in my subconscious.

Nick Ortner's Tapping Solution (Book - The Tapping Solution for Pain Relief) Pranic Healing Therapy, there are many other proven techniques, all teach us to let go our past, and live in the present moment with full awareness.

I conclude by sharing one of the many positive affirmation of Louise Hay (Book - You can heal your life)

In the infinity of life, where I am
all is perfect, whole and complete
I believe in a power far greater than I am
that flows through me every moment of every day
I open myself to the wisdom within
knowing that there is only One intelligence in this Universe
out of this One Intelligence comes all the answers
all the solutions, all the healings, all the new creations
I trust this Power and Intelligence (now this is fundamental -putting your trust)
knowing that whatever I need to know is revealed to me
and that whatever I need comes to me ( tawakkul on Allah )
in the right time, space and sequence
all is well in the world.

Hope that reading this 'write up' of mine has come at the right time, you have given your busy life - a space, a 'me time' to take charge of yourself and bring about healing of the Mind - Body and Soul.

An open letter to my departed sister

Dearest sister,
I do not know if you would be able to read this in any way by any means but if you do, please do feel privileged to be living in a world much better than mine.

I am writing this to you with a sombre expression on my face, a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes. I just finished watching the documentary which the BBC news channel made on you on international women's day. I am filled with both pride and shame on watching it. Pride, needless to say being you and shame, those inhuman species who took you away from us.

16th DEC 2012, the entire country stood in shock resulting from the horrendous and barbaric cruelty meted out to you and your friend. Although, in a country like ours which has become habituated to crimes against women, the sad news about you wasn't really a bolt from the blue, it still had the entire nation rooted to the spot. Such was the intensity of the crime, dear sister, I understand. I failed to even imagine the pain you must have felt for even a cursory glance from a stranger makes my blood run cold.

While you were battling between life and death, shock and shame, an unprecedented and tumultuous uproar in the form of protests was carried out at every corner of the country. You, dear sister, were the reason the entire nation was in solidarity. We couldn't take this anymore. Seeing such outrage of extreme emotions from people I had high hopes from the law to do its best to reduce, if not totally eliminate crimes against women but sadly, sister, the scenario still remains unchanged. Every twenty minutes a woman is raped in India. Even As I write this to you, somewhere a woman is being bullied, harassed and raped while the perpetrators of your ghastly crime are probably enjoying a hearty meal in imprisonment.

Often when me and my friends walk to and from college, there are always those few pairs of eyes gazing at us lecherously. Sometimes, they purposely push us, other times they speed up their bikes to scare us. All because, we are girls. I have been punished to be a girl. I have had to curb my dreams and passions because I am a girl. I love to travel and explore new places. I want to go on trips with my friends but I must remember i am a girl, a flower that needs protection and hence I must stay home and enroll myself in household chores. I must not dare to step out of the house alone, especially after sunset, otherwise the thorn might harm the flower. I want to go to parties and have fun just like my male friends but I must not forget that I am a girl, the one who is considered more responsible in any case with a man. Sister, I want to break free from the shackles of codes and conducts, dos and don'ts, but I must abide by them because I am a girl.

Dearest sister, I would like to make a number of heartfelt apologies to you.

Apology on behalf of our financially handicapped govt which otherwise has a lot of fund to shell out just to be in the good books of a certain visitor from the States or to garnish sportsmen with handsome cheques. But when it comes to improving the standard of security for women in our country, their pockets are empty

Apology on behalf of our legislature and judiciary which has always failed to deliver prompt justice to the victim. Apology on behalf of the so called guardians of the people, the police officers, for their lackadaisical attitude, for being so classless and disinterested in our matters, for supporting the false when offered money

Apology on behalf of all those selfish, self-centered people, who would make no move in helping a woman knowing she is in trouble. Of course, why would they invite trouble for themselves?

Apology on behalf of Mr Honey Singh, the blatantly sexist singer who has so conveniently made a future for himself by caricaturing women, still being a favourite son.

Apology on behalf of the masterminds behind TV soaps for always depicting women to be inferior to men.

But above all, I owe you an excruciating and shameful apology for being unable to do anything to bring you justice.

But you have come to me and every other woman as a great inspiration. Your determination to achieve your goals against all odds is very galvanizing. I wish with all my heart that someday your dream of opening a hospital in your village is realised.

With the shallow , shameless, adamant mindsets of a part of the male fraternity, there is indeed a good male majority, which needs to be become more pro active in this country, it is than only that we will have hope to live in a crime free India. On women's day I woke up to the news of a 6 year old being brutally raped in Ahmedabad.

Tomorrow again I might wake up to the news of yet another rape, if only its reported. Tomorrow again I will notice someone giving me licentious looks. The age of chivalry is dead sister. Humanity has failed. Dearest sister, like I said, please do feel privileged to be living in a world much better than mine. You might not be the nearest to us but you are definitely the dearest. You are not just a daughter to your parents, you are "India's Daughter"

Having heard so much uproar on the Documentary, I pushed the play button with much trepidation, thinking of seeing gut wrenching narration, and graphics, but I found the Documentary to be well made covering all aspects of the Nirbhaya incident. No prolonged wails and dramatic outbursts. I am wondering why the Indian Govt has to ban it ? The opinions of the experts and all connected with the incident, is laid out before the public in a very decent format minus theatricals. Some of the Hindi soap that are dished out on TV has more wailing and more gut wrenching scenes. Prolonged cries and hearty laughter of the goons.

Let me share with you a personal experience. I went to the Barbers for a shave around noon, the ideal time for family Hindi soaps on TV. One was playing out above my head,and although I was not able to watch it, as I had surrendered my face to the barber, I could hear the audio.

From the audio I surmised that a villain was acting tough and was in the act of ruining the modesty of the lady protagonist, and for more than 5 minutes she was pleading, begging to let her go, and amid continuous loud wailing. I was feeling so disgusted, the wails and the cries were unbearable, so as the first part of the shave was over, I requested the barber to change the channel forthwith.

Now these type of soaps need to be banned, not this Documentary, which has a very understated tone, and tries to portray the thoughts of all those associated with the case.

At the end of the Documentary, the grieved father reflects on her Jyoti who has become a symbol - he makes a profound observation by stating ' a storm arose, and has passed, but what is important, is what is left after the storm' now that is very important. If her sacrifice has not been able to change the mindset of the country, her sacrifice is in vain, no lesson has been learnt. I was aghast to read the report that out of 10,000 foetus found in a hospital 9900 plus ( forget the exact number) were of girl child. Shocking indeed. Banning the Documentary shows the mindset still needs to be changed.

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">At the very onset of the Book in Chapter 1 Dr.
Kaku gives a brilliant example from his childhood days, when he used to watch
the carps, in the shallow pond in a Japanese garden.

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">‘Living their entire lives in the shallow pond,
the carp would believe that their ‘universe’ consisted of the murky water and
the lilies. Spending most of their time foraging on the bottom of the pond,
they would be dimly aware that an alien world could exist above the surface.
The nature of my world was beyond their comprehension. I was intrigued that I
could sit only a few inches from the carp, yet separated from them by an
immense chasm. The carp and I spent our lives in two distinct universes, never
entering each other’s world, yet were separated by only the thinnest barrier,
the water’s surface.

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">I often think that we are like carp swimming
contentedly in our pond. We live out our lives in our own “pond”. We smugly
refuse to admit that parallel universes or dimensions can exist next to ours,
just beyond our grasp. (Great Spiritual Masters and mystics have experienced
and visualised, and some have tried to convey the unseen dimensions and
universes. Now scientists are accepting in theory )

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Another striking example is given by Peter Freund,
who has stated that laws of nature become simpler and elegant, when expressed
in higher dimensions, which is their natural home (A’lam al Ibda – ten
dimensional A’lam al Amr which came into existence by the Command ‘kun fayakun’
)

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Freund, in explaining why higher dimensions are
exiting the imagination of the scientific world, uses the following analogy.

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">‘Think for a moment of a cheetah, a sleek beautiful animal, one of the fastest
on the earth, which roams freely on the savannas of Africa. In its natural
habitat, it is a magnificent animal. Almost a work of art, unsurpassed in
speed or grace.

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Now think of a cheetah that has been captured and
thrown into a miserable cage in a zoo. It has lost its original grace and
beauty, and is put in the cage for our amusement. We only see the broken spirit
of the cheetah, not its original power and elegance. The cheetah likewise can
be compared to the laws of physics, which are beautiful in the higher
dimensions. However, because of human limitation, we can only measure the laws
of physics, when they are broken and placed on display in a cage, which is our
three dimensional laboratory. We only see the cheetah when its grace and beauty
have been stripped away.

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">(From this I infer how the Spiritual Masters are
able to experience the Higher Truths, as they can ‘home in’ to the higher
dimensions, and be able to comprehend, whereas we laymen, miss the bus, as we
have not the knowledge to comprehend, as we are used to seeing and
understanding at our own level )

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The advantage of ten dimensional space is that we
have enough room in which to accommodate all the four fundamental forces.

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The leading scientists like Alan Guth and Freund are of the opinion that
the energy scale necessary to investigate the higher dimensions is far beyond
anything available on earth. The energy necessary to probe the tenth dimension
is a quadrillion times larger than the energy that can be produced by our
largest atom smasher!!

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">

Introducing higher dimensions may be essential for
prying loose the secrets of Creation. According to this theory, before the Big

( Interesting if one has read Sayedi Sadikali sahib Nashihat) and eventually it ‘cracked’ in two,
creating two separate universes; a four and six dimensional Universe. The
Universe in which we live was born in that cosmic cataclysm. Our four
dimensional Universe expanded explosively (‘huboot’ tenebrosity according to
our belief ) while our twin six dimensional universe contracted violently, until
it shrank to almost infinitesimal... this six dimensional universe may
ultimately be our salvation !! There you go

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style","serif"; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%;">(Reading this made me wonder is this some theoretical
physicist talking or a Spiritual savant. Science and Spirituality are coming so
close. Hope in near future with the help of both, we will be able to understand

failures. His mother was distressed at how slowly he learnt to talk. His

that he was constantly disrupting classroom discipline with silly questions. He
had few friends, and dropped out of high school.

I was always eager to know how and in which period of history the Fatemi Dawat took its root in India, and who were the first harbingers, their background and their Mission. By referring to different sources, I am presenting the episodes of Fatemi Dawat in Hind, the historical events as oit unfolded in the early Eleventh Century.

In Misr during the glorious reign of Imam Mustansir Billah ( S.A.) a Hindu Raja Siddhrath Jaisingh was the ruling from Khambat. After the advent of Islam many Arabs had been steadily coming down to Hindustan and Islam was slowly spreading with marked concentration in areas around Delhi and Lucknow.

Islam was spreading far and wide and this made the head priest of Raja Jaisingh very apprehensive, and in order to save the kingdom from an alien religion, he advised the Raja to take a vow not to partake food before killing a Muslim each day and making a tilak with the blood of the killed Muslim.

One day an Arab trader owing allegiance to the Fatemi Dawat happened to travel to Khambat and was caught by the guards and brought before the Raja, who ordered him to be executed. However, by his convincing arguments, the trader managed to convey to the Raja that he need not kill him to keep his vow, he may chop off his hand, and with the blood to tilak and partake his food.

Thus he saved himself and managed to travel back gto Misr and appeared in the Hazrat of Imam (S.A.) and narrated the incident Imam Mustansir Billah (S.A.) planted the seed of Fatemi Dawat by sending Moulayee Ahmad to Khambat to ascertain the prevailing religion and culture and to seek converts.

In the guise of a Hindu sage Moulayee Ahmad stayed in Khambat and obsereved the customs and traditions. During his wanderings Moulayee Ahmad took a liking of two young lads aged between 12-14 years, who appeared to be very bright and intelligent. He found out that both these boys were orphans, who lived with their relatives. One was Ramnath and the other was Roopnath. Moylayee Ahmad won their trust and confidence, so much so that they started living with him and also agreed to accompany him to Misr.

On reaching Misr the two boys were presented in Hazarat Aliyah Immamiyah and were entrusted in the care of Moulayee Lamak, who lovingly instructed the two boys in Fatemi Ulooms. Thus Ramnath became Moulayee Abdullah and Roopnath became Moulayee Nuruddin. Imam (S.A.) instructed Sayedna Lamak to accompany them till Yemen and from there, the three Sahebs set sail and landed in Khambat harbour in the year 453 H and started the Fatemi Dawat in earnest.

Moulayee Ahmad was the first Vali e Hind and started his mission from Khambat. He sent Moulayee Nuruddin to the Deccan Central India and Moulayee Abdullah to Patan. Around Khambat Moulayee Ahmad won over many hearts by his knowledge, saintly character and miracles, and the news of his mission travelled far and wide, and in due course of time the two prominent vazirs of Raja Jaisingh, namely Raja Bharmal ( who was also son in law of Raja Jaisingh ) and Raja Tarmal came under the influence of Islam.

The famous incident of the hung Elephant in the Temple that attracted a lot of devotees, in which case Moulayee Ahmad removed the concealed magnates from the floor and roof of the Temple, which made the rock Elephant come crushing down, shook the Hindu belief as never before, and many converts were won over. It is said that before his death even Raja Jaisingh gave Misaq to Moulayee Ahmad. On his death bed he gave instruction that he should not be consigned to flames as per Hindu custom, but was to be buried and the his last rites were to be conducted by Moulayee Ahmad. Year 1143 A.D.

When the first Vali e Hind Moulayee Ahamad died in Khambat in 560 H Moulayee Nuruddin became the Second Vali e Hind and on his death in Dongaon in the year 563 H Moulayee Abdullah became the 3rd Vali e Hind. Moulayee Abdullah died in Patan in 565 H.

The 4th Vali e Hind was Moylayee Yakub who was the son of Raja Bharmal, and before openly giving allegiance at the hands of Moyalee Ahmad was known as Ajaypal. He helped a great deal in winning over converts to the Fatemi Dawat.

Moylayee Yakub the 4th Vali e Hind directed Sayedi Fakhruddin Saheed ( son of Raja Tarmal) to spread Deen and win over converts in vaghad bilad (Gujrat - Rajastan bordering areas) It was near Galiyakot that he was looted and martyred by the Bhills.

In the descendents of Moylaee Yakub came the Nine Doat Mutlaqeen known as A'al e Bharmal. The first amongst them being 34th Dai ul Mutlaq Sayedna Ismail Badruddin Moula - Jamnagar.
1065 to 1085 H.

Aqa A'li Qdr Muffadal Moula's lineage is traced back to both Raja Bharmal and Raja Tarmal.
LABBAIK YA HUSSAIN !

LABBAIK YA HUSSAIN !

This year once again my family received the sharaf of undertaking the most spiritually uplifting and soul enriching Arba'been journey from the most holy precincts of Najaf to Karbala. Each passing year the fervor and the number of pilgrims is for ever increasing.

In the year 62 AH ashab e Nabi (SA) Moulana Jabir in company of Attaya bin Saeed undertook the journey, which this year has witnessed a multitude of more than 20 million and more. ( Five times that of this year's Haj pilgrims ) Just thinking about it so overwhelming, and words fail to describe the feelings and outpouring of love, for those who undertake it.

My family was in company of 29 mumineen from Kuwait. At 7 am Sunday 6th Dec: 2014 we started from Najf Rubaat, in all 179 mumineen, a large many from India. We were escorted through the town carrying Husaini A'lam and Banners to the Highway by faiz khidmatgujars, who took leave, when we reached the highway.

It was a moving sight when we reached Pole No : 1 on the highway and like a stream merging into an overflowing river, we in company of thousands chanting YA HUSAIN !YA HUSAIN ! started our momentos journey towards Karbala.

The Electricity Poles on the roads towards Karbala are the best markers. There are in all 1452 poles. The Karbala Rubaat is near Pole No: 1449. The haram of Abbas e Alambardar (SA) is near Pole 1452. Thus it gives an idea of the distance, and a means to understand the distance covered, and more important the 'marker' for assembly point of the group. We in our group decide before hand, on which number Pole should we assemble, so that those who walk ahead, wait at that particular Pole, for others who have fallen back.

After the downfall of Saddam Hussain, in the Year 2003 the Arba'een which was banned for past 30 years was broadcast live. The Western Media in recent years has been reporting it as the World's largest and most dangerous gathering.
However, in spite of terrorist threats and intimidation, there is no sense of fear in those who undertake the pilgrimage. Sayeed Maldi Modarresi in his article in Huffington Post has in great detail, covered the different aspects of Arba'eeen. He talks of people undertaking a 425 miles of arduous journey from Basra to Karbala, walking for two weeks.

Feelings of affection, of reaching out and helping the pilgrims, showering them with doa for their safe journey is what one witnesses, as one remembering and moaning the Husaini kafla undertakes the journey. Mawakeb organizers who come from all walks of life, some of them are farmers and labourers, spare no efforts to make the pilgrims comfortable. It has only to be experienced. Fifty million meals a day financed by general public !! They line up the roads and at times literally plead with you to take their falafil and chicken sandwiches, boiled eggs and bread, and fruits. Sharbat and tea is served in plenty at short distances along the road. The little ones came running towards us, pleading to take their offerings.

The love and fervor of the people is so overwhelming that tears gush forth, doa from the heart comes on our lips, and it also takes us back to the road traversed in bondage by Imam Ali Zain ul Abedeen Moula and the Husaini kafla. As we walk towards Karbala, surrounded by so much outpouring of love and affection, we think of the pain and tribulations suffered in 61 A.H.

Our group of 179 which started from Pole No: 1 started to divide into smaller groups as we covered distance, the youngsters and able bodied walked faster, they rested for smaller durations.

One mumin youngster aged around 22 years walked the entire distance bare foot, just imagine walking on the cold road. Another mumin bhai, who has been coming for the past 2-3 years, undertakes the pilgrimage, fasting for the entire duration.

These are just two examples of many mumineen, who willingly undertake hardship and deprivation, all on account of the immense love of Ahle Bait (S.A ) and love and affection for Aqa Moula (TUS) and for his sehato a'fiyat and umre darazi.

Our group of 16 mumineen rested on the first night at a Farm House of a local Arab, and the hospitality received was overwhelming. The Amil Saheb of Bahrain who was in the early seventies, and Bhen Saheba who had only last year undergone knee surgery were in our group, and seeing them walk and keeping pace with us, was so motivating and uplifting. Unaided they walked with us, seeing them undertake this arduous journey I made a niyat and offered doa, that if Allah with his Mercy makes me reach that age, I will surely undertake this pilgrimage.

The second night was spent being fussed over by the locals in a big well stocked tent, the ladies massaged our tiring limbs and went out of their way, to see that we were comfortable. Finally on Monday, 8th Dec: 2014 at around 10.30 in the morning five of us reached Karbala, the rest in company of Amil Saheb and Bhen saheba reached at around noon.

On reaching Karbala I interacted with a bhen who was in a group from South India, and I learnt that they had started with the intention of covering the journey at faster pace, and shortest possible time, as a result of which, they got so very tired, took different route, as a result of which a few of them, had to take a cab to complete the journey. An eye - opener.

I feel it is a spiritual pilgrimage and should be done with due reverence and feeling. Have just returned to Kuwait but looking forward to the next Arba'een and in the meantime wishing and praying for the tashreef awri of Aqa Moula A'li Qdr Muffadal Saifuddin Moula (TUS). There is so much of excitement and anticipation amongst Kuwait muminen, and preparations are in earnest.

LOVE, an umbrella term which incorporates an abundance of God-gifted relations within it, a few by blood and others by destiny, in truth is the salt of life without which life would remain bland and tasteless.

Be it bilateral relations like friendship, courtship, engagement, marriage or multilateral ones like relation with your parents, siblings, extended family or family-in-law, all are priceless relationships bound together by the most beautiful emotion, love.

These immeasurable and invaluable gifts of relations should be treasured, caressed and prevented from being harmed.These are the most cherished and soul enriching boons from the Almighty, which rather than being discarded at the drop of a hat should be preserved for a lifetime.

The beauty of love in any relation lies in the universal fact that it is palpable even to the unfortunate victims of deafness, dumbness and blindness. They also feel its embalming and all embracing power. Love is like the sun, the absence of which creates darkness and its presence has the power to light up the life of a blind person. It is a powerful weapon that helps us win and overcome any battle of life. The lyrics of the famous English band rightly goes, 'one love is all we need', indeed!

There are relationships, there are issues, and consequently and inevitably, of course , there are the two very poisonous pesticides, ego and false sense of self respect, which destroy the seeds of love, trust, and affection to an extent that our relations wither away and die.

With the human fraternity constantly battling between relationship issues and the two deceivers-ego and false sense of self respect, it is widely observed that the former which takes years to build is destroyed, at times in a matter of minutes.

Many would argue as to how respect for ones own self would destroy bonds. Self respect is a good human trait, but the problem is with the false sense of self respect. True, you can't win others respect till you don't have regard and reverence for yourself but too much of it outweighs the respect for others. This is when even the best of bonds are ruined. Ego is a genie that we create in ourselves, that eventually leads to our own destruction.

Rolling back to the stories my grandma told me, it becomes evident that ego and false sense of self respect have become a rampant relationship spoiler in only our times. My Granny would often narrate to me episodes of her animosity with grandpa, and rightly make me understand as to how In their days love for each other made no room for anything to destroy it.

We all hold a certain degree of impulsiveness in us which makes us act on a whim, disabling us to foresee its menacing consequences. As a result, we make mistakes, indulge in monumental sulks, blurt out unintended bluntness, this hurting the sentiments of one another and encountering misunderstandings. This is when love begins to decay, trust diminishes, affection deflates, the treacherous ego begins its work and the relationship as a whole dies a death.

The question you may throw at yourself over here is, was your bond with your friend , partner , sibling or any other associate so weak that it could be destroyed so easily?

Take a moment to recapture all the beautiful moments you shared with them, the happiness, the sadness. Were they so dim that they could be darkened completely? Did your priceless bond weigh so less in front of your issues? Ego and false sense of self respect are nothing but only a part of your English vocabulary when your relation to you holds more significance.

Save your self and your loved ones from a bleeding heart by :

Nipping your ego in the bud before having to bury your relationship in the soil.

Make your ego and self respect so porous that all your issues penetrate and dissolve into it.

Come to terms with the fact that we all are humans, bound to make mistakes and deserve one chance to correct ourselves.

Forgive quickly and live with no regrets. After all, in your times of sorrow, not your ego or self respect but your near and dear ones will come and comfort you. Give it an intense thought!

From the rich annals of Dawat history he narrated the khidmat ( services) of Sayedi Khaaji Feer saheb of Udaipur, who came to acquire Ilm ( knowledge of Deen) in the presence of Dai uz Zaman at Jamnagar, some three centuries ago.

Sayedi Khanji was in his youth, and while attending Sabaks (teachings) in the Hazrat of Dai, he observed that on account of putrid smell coming from a nearby slaughter facility, the Dai was distressed by the putrid smell coming from the rotting guts and innards, that were just left there.

The young Sayedi Khanji saheb decided to take corrective action in silence and without much ado. So each nightfall he would go to the slaughter pit, collect all the rotting innards and left overs in a container, wash and clean the place, and carry the load on his shoulders, and dispose it off in a very responsible manner.

The putrid smell thus stopped wafting in and distressing the Dai, while he was dispensing knowledge, so he asked the stalwart about it, and in a very demeaning and degrading tone, they said that a ' commoner ' from Udaipur named Khanji has being doing the cleaning.

Sayedna knew the real worth of Sayedi Khanji saheb, and he chided the stalwarts that this young dedicated youth will soon rise to the highest pinnacle of nobility and virtue. He will be venerated for his piety, knowledge and services.

Thus three centuries ago our Dai made it clear that no job is demeaning or low, it is your motivation, your drive behind a particular action or undertaking, that is the deciding factor. In this instance, it was the affection and love for the Dai, and a sense of duty, and awareness that motivated Sayedi Khanji saheb. For him it was never demeaning but an uplifting undertaking.

Thus if your motivation stems from the love of your country and your fellow citizens, SBA provides a platform for you to contribute and uplift your spirit and character.

Likewise to contribute towards a better and cleaner environment, in what ever capacity, even by becoming aware and restraining yourself from adding to the litter, or by becoming a good example to others by your silent actions, as concerned citizens, constitutes as a noble and uplifting action.
That transformation comes with knowing deep within you that each and every human being is far more than a physical body, and the essence of being human inculcates the ability to think and feel, to posses a higher consciousness and to know that there is a an intelligence, suffusing all forms in the Universe.

These principles are working independant of your opinion about them , very much like the principles of digestion and pulmonary circulations are working within your body right now, without your help. Whether you believe in these Universal Principles or not, they are going to work. But should you decide to tune into them, you may find yourself living at an entirely new level, and enjoying a higher kind of of awareness - an awakening.

The truth is that the container cannot give the pleasure , satisfaction, and nourishment that the contents do. A lifetime of exclusively focussing exclusively on the package, will result in a spiritually undernourished and quite unhappy YOU.

Your form must follow the rules of forms. It will change many times during your lifetime. The form has changed many times, and yet the real YOU has remained consistent. Once you understand this concept, you will be on your way to going through the Gate.

Once you begin to ask who this person is that you have come to call your self, you are on your way. Once you begin to realize that you yourself are divine, just the fact that you have a mind and Universal Intelligence that backs up your form, you are already zooming ahead. The rest will happen automatically.

It is a simple procedure to calculate the number of seeds in an apple. But who among us can ever say how many apples are in a seed ?

Transcending the scarcity consciousness. The first step towards discarding a scarcity mentality involves, giving thanks for everything that you are and everything you have. Truly appreciate the miracle that you are. The facgt that you are alive.

A life of Abundance does not mean a life of accumulating, but instead developing a spiritual sense of awe at the 'limitlessness' of it all.

Make an effort to be thankful for what you have and who you are, each day. The less we need to have kore, the more we seem to get. The Universe seems to provide abundantly, when we are in a state of gratefulness.

Detachment is the only vehicle available to to take from 'striving' to ' arriving' Detachment in human relationship, does not mean absence of caring. It means caring so much, that you suspend your own value judgements about others and relate to them from a position of love and understanding, rather than attempting to control or judge them. The person who is detached, in this sense is pone who will avoid all unnecessary sufferings, that most people experience in their relationship.

In the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan the lowly broom stick in all shapes and sizes has found a pride of place and has become the toast of the country. Since 2nd October thousands upon thousand of pictures and videos has been uploaded and doing rounds in cyber space, wherein the wielding broom sticks stand out.

Individuals and Organizations have made efforts to come out and be seen, but the task ahead is not easy and the lowly broom sticks are up and against a formidable foe, which requires a sustained herculean effort and focus all year round.

The lowly broom sticks which we have proudly wielded is pitted against the following reality :

In our cities and towns nearly one third of the garbage is not collected at all - it is just left to rot away and streets and alleys. So in a year, more than 14 million tons of garbage is left to rot in urban Indian streets.

The 70 % that is collected is taken and dumped either in landfills or just any open spaces available outside the main habitation. Only about 18 % of collected garbage is treated for recycle or made fuel.

The other dimension of sanitation for which our wielding broom sticks is no match is sewage or waste water disposal.

More than 26 billion litres is getting dumped into our streams and rivers daily. In the four metros out of 16 billions litres of sewage generated per day only 8 billions get treated.

The above are the hard facts and our wielding broom sticks are no match. Now that photos and videos have been shared, we have to turn our attention and focus on the real issues.

It is not that Swachh Bharat is merely a dream, it is viable and achievable and many countries with the help of modern low cost waste management technologies have made a noticeable change in the living conditions of their citizens and the environment of their country.

We have become selfish and self centred - and this is a real issue. People spend lakhs on their homes and offices, but have scant regard, when it comes to taking care of their immediate neighborhood.

Now that the wielding broom sticks have been captured in pictures and videos, and confined in a corner and will soon be forgotten, I am sharing with readers some insights received from science of epigenetics.

I fervently hope that after reading it, you will be motivated to make the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan a sustained and life long effort, as we all are the ones who will be benefited.

QUOTE: 'While the media made big hoopla over the discovery of the BRCA 1 & 2 breast cancer genes, they failed to emphasize that 95 % of breast cancers are not due to inherited genes. The malignancies in a significant number of cancer patients are derived from environmentally induced epigenetic alterations and not defective genes. ( Book Ref: The Biology of Belief - Dr. Bruce Lipton)

Now on reading this, it will surely make you run in the corner, pick up the broom stick and wield it all year round. ( Not in the literal sense, but it will motivate you to spend your time, your resource, more important your expertise, in helping to keep the environment clean ) Environment is an all encompassing term. It is indeed in the best interest of each and every one of us. This is just but one example.

Now let me share with readers another insight, as to why SBA will make you into a better person, a complete full filled person.

The following excerpts are taken from a recent article - ' Two kinds of Happiness ( One is Bad for You) by Deepak Chopra MD.

Read on : ' Happiness results in two types of well being. One is ' eudaimonic well being' ( eudaimon in Greek means happiness) this happiness derived well being is a direct result of life lived with a purpose and meaning, and shows positive results in our immune cells.

Which, in the context of my 'write up' simply put - wielding the broom stick all year round, will make your cells - there are approx: 37 trillion cells in your body more healthy !! So SBA is in our personal interest.

Read on : ' On the other hand 'hedonic well being' is the result of happiness, which is dependant on consumerism, and burst of pleasure arising out from acquiring.

Now here comes the bouncer : Hedonic well being ( hedon in Greek means pleasure) fared worse than unhappy people in the genetic expression of their immune cells, showing tendency towards inflammation and less ability to fight viruses.

Both type of happiness have the same high level of positive emotion, but one is good for you, and the other is not. It is upto us to decide. We can fool ourselves that we are happy, but our genes know better.

Inflammation of cells has been connected with a wide range of disorders from heart disease to cancer and now is leading suspect of chronic illness in general.

The Spiritual path has for ages described two paths of well being - the path of wisdom and the path of pleasure.

So I conclude by saying SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN has provided us an option to choose a holistic well being path for our selves, our family and the citizens of India. JAI HIND !!

The victim virus - the suffering addiction.

The role of playing a victim is an addiction very harmful, as it leads to physical, mental and emotional misery.

The chronic complaining state creates inner contractions, that prevent essential energies from flowing as they should, and drain our vital forces.

According to the Law of Attraction and its principles, when we act act the victim, we are bound to attract to us persons and situations, that will make us suffer. So stop complaining and start accepting and honoring WHAT IS and see your life change for the better.

Studies have proved that when you are calm, quiet and at peace with your self, the frontal lobes of your brain are activated, this is the area of the brain, where creativity and the ability to make innovative decisions are lodged.

When you are stressed out, the blood stream abandons the frontal area of the brain, and concentrates in the back part of the brain, where past survival lessons, flight and fight responses learnt long time ago are aroused. These are termed as negative emotional charge, detrimental to your total well being.

When we go through any inner tension, we usually make unconscious decisions based on such ideas as "I am not good enough" or " I won't be able to do it". These decisions are tinted with negative perception of ourselves and, if we believe in it, it leaves its imprint on our energy field and conducts our life.

In his book 'The Biology of Beliefs' Dr. Bruce Lipton shows us scientifically, how environmental stimulates 'triggers' intracellular proteins, and it is these proteins that enact the DNA. In this way the cancer gene lies dormant until the environment stimulates it. He points that to fully support cellular health we can no longer ignore the role of consciousness and that includes our own thinking.

So it can be surmised that our thinking affects are cellular health to a great degree. Dr. Lipton explains that cellular health, growth, and reproduction respond favorably to thoughts of love and harmony, whereas the so called negative thoughts create the opposite in us.

So in order to have a healthy thriving cellular body, we should start by having positive thoughts, learning to pursue a life of calm and contentment, and accepting WHAT IS.

One thing leads to another. Registered my self to attend Hay House World Summit 2014, and in the process, got connected with the Hay House Face Book Community and stumbled upon BIOCENTRISIM - a concept proposed in 2007 by Dr. Robert Lanza - a Scientist working in the field of regenerative medicine and biology - and got hooked.

One thing is certain. If you are focused and your seeking is pure and unadulterated - exiting things will be revealed to you.

Biocentricity involves a shift in the interpretation of Scientific knowledge, that may lead to new, better and holistic understanding of the beginning of the Universe. Dr. Robert Lanza's theory has evoked a mixed response from the Peers of the Scientific Community.

But for a layman like me, I foresee in near future a quantum leap in the understanding of the Creation of the Universe, from the outdated and crude Darwinian Theory - a leap that lands Science in the all embracing arms of Spirituality, which has been there for ages.

What I have understood is that Science has mellowed from its heydays, and now, with recent discoveries and cutting edge researches, especially in the field of quantum physics, the leading scientific community is, in fact helping a great deal in our understanding of the Spiritual Truths, which have remained unchanged for centuries.

The Gnostics, whose influence was felt mostly in the first and second century AD, identified the FIRST CAUSE - the True God as residing in the Pleroma (The Fullness) beyond space, time and causation, while material reality, is the creation of emanated beings, the Intelligences.

Gita says : ‘Brahman, without beginning, Supreme, beyond what is and beyond what is not’

Max Plank, the god father of quantum theory says: ‘ I regard consciousness as primary and matter as derivative of consciousness’

The belief in a divine power dominated world thought, until 400 years ago, when scientific discoveries, and philosophical skepticism, began to shake faith. The theories and writings of Rene Descartes – Karl Marx – Charles Darwin - Fredrick Nietzsche , seemed to sink humankind into a slough of despair. Humanity had seemed to have lost direction. But science also proved to be a false god, and the world view left many despondent.

Till the beginning of 20th Century Spirituality was being assailed from all sides. On April 8, 1966, Time Magazine – an oracle of American Opinion, asked in boldfaced red “Is God Dead ?

However, in the later part of the 20th Century, with rapid advance in super computing, powerful telescopes, world wide Internet, and cutting edge discoveries in all fields of science, the Spiritual Truths were now being rediscovered, so to say, with scientific knowledge.

Dr. Mani Bhowmik – the co-inventor of laser technology in his Book : ‘ Code Name God’ has this to say - ‘ Strangely enough the same scientific methods, that once compelled us to question the existence of God, is now, by way of advanced physics and cosmology, developing evidence that tend to support our old age belief in a transcendent power.

The quantum Universe is a reality, where same tiny particles may occupy, two places at one time, or react instantly to event light years away.

He goes on to state that : physics is close to proving that material reality (our Universe, we the entire humanity, everything included) emerges from a common source.

However, it is a living miracle that in past few decades – Science and its awakened, and enlightened Scientific community – their numbers are ever growing , by their scientific pursuits and discoveries are becoming champions of Spirituality.

Biocentricity is validating Spirituality, the wisdom propounded by sages and philosophers is gaining acceptance by Science. Biocentrism teaches that it is consciousness that creates the material world, and not the other way round. It implies that Intelligence existed prior to matter. He also claims that space and time are not objects or things, but rather tools of our human understanding. THE UNIVERSE WAS CREATED FOR US. THE THEORY IMPLIES THAT DEATH OF CONSCIOUSNESS SIMPLY DOES NOT EXIST.

There are over 200 physical parameters within the Universe, so exact, that it seems as more probable that, they are that way in order to allow for the existence of life and consciousness, rather than coming about at random.

Biocentrism claims that allowing the OBSERVER in the overall equation, opens new approaches to our understanding of the Universe - how very true and exiting from the point of Spirituality.

Dr. Deepak Chopra states: ' his theory of biocentrism is consistent with most ancient wisdom traditions of the world, which says Consciousness, conceives, governs and becomes a physical world. '

Biocentrism suggests, that life is not an accidental by product of physics, but rather is a key part of our understanding the Universe.

I am observing Ramadan, the month of fasting, prayers, spiritual reflection and doing good deeds. What an opportune moment for me to have come across during this Blessed Month on a path breaking Scientific Theory that tries to address and give some insight, into my fast held beliefs and truths.

I have just managed to skim the surface, and hope to dwell deep with more reading during this month.
Indebted to Hay House World Summit Community.
