WEALTH AND MONEY - WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE

From a recent interview given by Dr. Deepak Chopra on the ' Early Morning Show' I managed to gather a few nuggets, which I would like to share with you, in this very troubling times.
According to Dr. Chopra out of a total 2.9 trillion dollars in daily circulation around the world, only 2% is used for providing actual goods and services for maintaining life, the remaining 98% is speculation, money circulating in the Casino. He has differentiated money and wealth. According to him, money is that which you have not earned, (money breeding money , I think that is what he means to imply) money is that with which you buy things, which you do not really need, to impress people whom you really do not like.

Wealth according to him in the real sense is ..
1. Wealth is progressive realization of worthy goals.
2. Wealth is the ability to love and have compassion
3. Wealth is to have good health
4. Wealth is to have meaningful caring relationship.
5. Wealth is to get in touch with the creative power that very much resides inside you, which is also the creative power of the Universe.
I hope I have heard him correctly, you may log on to

and if there is some error in my post, do point it out to me, I will be obliged.

So the big investing Bankers have created 'money' and have gone bust, now the 'awakened' will have to create 'wealth'.
I think this is the silver lining in the dark looming clouds.

The world leaders have converged for the Economic Summit to start today. Our Honourable Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh is also attending. It has been termed as Brenton Woods II.
Hope the world leaders manage to put into real practice, effective checks and regulations for the financial markets, so that in future the woods ( our beautiful world) is not infested with 'wolves' of greed, in the garb of financial institutions, promising Al Dorado to gullible people.

Please take care to ask a hardworking Professional, who has just received a 'pink slip' for no fault of his. Have emphaty was all those, who are trying to make an honest living but there is a residing fear in them of their future.

Wealth beneficial to a Moomin is total sawabs amassed in his account of Aakhiraat’s tosho otherwise all assets and money left behind upon death will be useless. Money spent by Moomin into nekh saleh ammal for aquiring sawabs in Aakhiraat is spending wisely. Money spent for no sawabs factor is only for survival or comfort in present life.
All Mumineen should spend money as per Farmaan and Khushi of our beloved Aqamola in any form or nature as applicable to amass as much sawabs possible within capacity and capability.May Allah Subhanahu give us Yaari and tawfiq.Inshalla.Ameen.

I think wealth, on the whole, is another form of Barakat. Next time we hear Moula (TUS) do doa for barakat we know what we are going to get.
Asgarbhai, you are doing great. May Allah always keep you in good health and wealth.

Whether there is any difference or similarity between money and wealth it is very aptly explained by certain quotations cited in the writings. But the paradox that the "money" as it has been made to differ from"wealth" (the Oxford dictionary perception of money is wealth) brings forth is very well summed up by Syedi Sadiq Ali Saheb in one of his Nasihat: PANCH RUPIYANI DOLAT NI WUSA'T, THAYE CHHE JEHNA PASEY
VYAAJ PEHLA LEVU NE DEWOO, TEHNE GHEE NE SHAKAR THASEY
ZAROOR MANAA' ZAKAT TEHNI TABAA' MA BEHAD JANBASEY
YEH BAAI'S THI UMAR NI BILKUL NAMAZ TEHNI MANJASEY,

MUMIN THAI NE AA SEEKHA CHHE NADANO NI SOHBAT THI,QABR MA EHVA KAYEE UTREENE ROYA APNI SHAMAT THI.

About "Wealth" the way it has been made to carry so many charateristics in its ambit as per the said writings, Al Quran very aptly sums up in one A'ayat: WAMAAN ARADAL AKHERATA WASAA' LAHA SAA'YAHA WAHOVA MUMENUN ULAEKA KANA SAA'YOHUM MASHKURA.
(And who so desires the Akherat -the hereafter' and strives as one is required to, and he is a believer these are the ones whose striving shall find favour with Allah).
With this aim in mind let's strive to differentiate between 'wealth' and 'money' or in other words 'kinds' and 'cash' or in some superlative pedigree 'assets' and 'liabilities'.
May our beloved Aqa Maula be with us in our striving of that asset of Akherat whose permeating radiance may enlighten us to shed unnecessary liabilities in order to cherish the treasure of Akherat.
